What advice would you give first-time eduWeb Digital Summit attendees who are looking to make the most of the conference?

“Come to eduWeb with an open heart and an open mind. I encourage everybody to attend talks that are out of their regular scope and routine, as these are very useful to understanding your team and their work better. Conference talks can spark new strategies for ongoing projects or ideas for future developments.

“Meet people! As higher education professionals, we know all about silos. Often times, it can feel like it’s you against the world-tackling specific problems on tight deadlines and with small budgets. eduWeb gives you plenty of opportunities to network and socialize, whether it’s at a lunch table or at one of the social events. I highly recommend taking advantage of meeting people with similar jobs and assignments who can and will support you. Grow your network!”

What themes do you expect to emerge in your track this year?
“The Content and Email Marketing track is all about engaging your audience with relatable content. With the pressure of enrollment growth and declining budgets, building a robust and effective content strategy is key.”You will learn how to develop a successful higher ed brand, and tell your campus stories to an increasingly diverse audience. Marketers leverage social media and integrate visual content in their outreach. Our presenters will give examples of successful digital advertising and marketing campaigns that will help your campus to stand out from the rest.”

Have you visited Boston before? What are you most excited to see and do?
“I visited Boston only once in 2008, and absolutely loved it. The historic sites and the entire city itself is breathtaking. I’m a big musical buff and was excited to see that Finding Neverland is on tour in Boston-just got my ticket!”I’ve also heard a lot about the crazy duck tours, they sound like so much fun! I hope we can get a group together to go on an eduWeb quack tour!”
